Item#11 - Reflection

This was very valuable information which I was expost to. I enjoy Photostory and would like to use it in the classroom this year. Therefore, I have be learn to be very good at it. I plan to use it many time during the year . This is a valuable assest with my Prek students in learning sequence of events in language arts, science, social studies, etc. This year we will be using Itouches and notebooks, so I plan to attend as many workshops as I possible can to be good at what I do and teach to my little chicks.

This was a difficult pocess for me because it involve enormous reading and rereading to apply the instructions to be successful.

This is the most important tool in 21st Century. It outlines exactly what all students should be aware and teachers need to teach. Digital students need to know that when dealing with technology there is responsibility and respect and need to obey the rules of the technology world.

I had a hard time with this item. My Laptop would not receive Internet. This is one item that I would like to be an expert.. It is one tool that is very useful in the classroom.

Title 10

The iPhone, iPad, iTouch are all very popular with the young people and adults and I can see why. There is so much information and communication that can be obtained using these tools.

We teachers just have to be careful how they are used in the classroom.

I enjoy learning the different ways to usse "Jing" and "Screencast" This
is a great opportunity for students when completing an activity on the computer. Furthermore, the assesment of online participation is easir since students can score screen at the end of the assignment.

Skye, this is a great tool in communication when students can communicate and can see who they are talking to. The can visit any place in the world. My nephew was able to communicate with this children on Skye while he was in Iraq. He was able to see them grow and share in their daily lives.

There is something in all the videso mentioned. You just have to search for your need or interest. I liked YouTube it had plenty of spanish songs that I enjoyed listening. My students and I enjoy singing and dancing. The songs I found for prek were: 1 t0 10 counting: learn counting from Lots to learn. I like wiki. This is a great idea to create a newletter in partnership with our grade level and for parents. This kids with have a great time creating their own wiki to share with the school.

This Wiki is very useful to me. Creating a Google site with my PREK teachers would be fun. It would be a great way to communicate with our parents.

Bookmarking and tagging is a good tool. But not for me. I use my "favorites" column when I want to tag information. Since I do not keep it for long. This tool seems to me would be more useful to students ad teachers who do extensive research.

I hook on to websites like childcareland and use what I can. Since I teach bilingual, this means I have to translate. I rely heavily on Googe Images to give my work life.

I can see how helpful google doc and reader will be for me in the future. The sites that I subscribe have many helpful hints and ideas for the bilingual classroom.

RECESS MADNESS

Summer is almost over and soon we will be back to a new school with a new playground.

Learning can be fun in the classroom as well as the playground. This blog is an opportunity to share the learning process of the students with the parents!

The idea of building an education community has been around for many years. However, very difficult to get off the ground. In building blogs, where teachers are participating, is a fantistic idea! Especially for those new teachers on the block. Comments have to be meaningful and beneficial for all to benefit.
